The 9cm long blade, whose core is made of hard FC61 steel, is coated with 48 layers of stainless steel. These multiple layers give the blade a beautiful, and above all, unique, damask pattern. The handle of the Shotoh knife from Miyabi is made of robust black pakkawood.
