The classic convex taper profile grind exposes minute variations in the thickness of the layers revealing stunning patterns, characteristic of Damascus steel.
• The elegant handle is made using Pakka wood, inlaid with three steel rivets, finishing in an angle matching the angle of the bolster. A composite of wood particles densely packed resin and pressure treated gives the handle an amazing look and feel. This technique was developed in Japan for high quality tools to be used in tough, wet, adverse environments. Stronger and more water resistant than wood, but emulating its luxury aesthetics.
